PAICODEO
BACKGROUND
Established on 25th June 2003 at a meeting titled: “Parakuiyo Pastoralists Land and Environment Situation in Tanzania” held in the Coast region. The meeting included over 50 participants from Manyara, Morogoro, Tanga, Mbeya, Iringa and Coast regions. The meeting concluded with an establishment of an organisation for pastoralists’ development in Tanzania. It was to be known as Parakuiyo Pastoralists Indigenous Community Development Organisation (PAICODEO) and it would merge efforts of pastoralists and mobilise available resources for their development and the nation as a whole.
MISSION & VISION
PAICODEO is a civil society organisation established to empower the indigenous pastoralists to recognise and advocate for their rights, sustainable livelihoods and equitable participation in sustainable natural resource governance.
We envision an inclusive society, in which the rights of indigenous pastoralists and their culture are recognised, respected and protected.

Organisation Structure
ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING
It is the highest organ; comprising of efforts for the Pastoralists in Tanga, Morogoro, Coast, Mbeya, Iringa and Manyara community representatives. The coordination of activities of the organization is centered in the headquarters at Iringa region. The General Assembly has the final say on the organization matters.
BOARD OF DIRECTORS
It is an organ that oversees the development of the organization and accountable to the Annual General Meeting by Planning, Supervising, Monitoring and Evaluating the implementation of the organization objectives and projects.
MANAGEMENT TEAM
It comprises of all heads of the organization's departments such as: Program, Administration and Accounts.
